Our extensive programme of excursions take full advantage of local, English-speaking guides and the fact that our ships call at ports larger vessels cannot reach. Most excursions are pre-bookable and only remaining places can be booked on board.

2A GEIRANGER PANORAMA 1 – GEIRANGER TO ÅLESUND FROM £59pp
This excursion takes you by coach and boat from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geiranger to the pretty town of Ålesund. En route we negotiate the famous Eagle Road, travel past brightly painted villages and remote churches with waterfalls and rivers completing the rural idyll before you reach Ålesund.

2B GEIRANGER PANORAMA 2 – GEIRANGER TO MOLDE FROM £97pp
Climbing up the Ørneveien route to Linge, we drive along the famous Trollstigen, following a series of hairpins that take us some 900m above sea level. Beautiful and dramatic, with the expansive Romsdalsfjord magnificently set against the towering peaks, we rejoin our vessel after a short tour of Molde.

2C ART NOUVEAU TOUR OF ÅLESUND FROM £20pp
Its history and architectural highlights are best appreciated on foot, Ålesund is spread over a series of islands, linked by bridges. Rebuilt after a disastrous fire in 1904, the town was recreated to reflect the Art Nouveau trend of the age and this fascinating guided tour brings the town, its history and the symbolism of its architecture to life.

3A NIDAROS CATHEDRAL & RINGVE MUSEUM, TRONDHEIM FROM £36pp

This enchanting tour takes in the medieval Nidaros Cathedral and the Museum of Musical History at Ringve Gård, an absorbing collection of some 2,000 musical instruments housed in a beautiful manor house.

3B TRONDHEIM WITH NIDAROS CATHEDRAL FROM £31pp
This sightseeing tour of the former capital includes a visit to the famous Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s largest medieval church and a national shrine since the 11th century. It also passes the royal residence of Stiftsgården, and the old town bridge that leads to the imposing Kristiansten fortress.
