Locally known as Rapa Nui, Easter Island got its more commonly known name when it was discovered on Easter Sunday in 1722.
Deep in the Pacific Ocean well over a thousand miles from the nearest inhabited land, this island is referred to by its Polynesian inhabitants as ‘the Navel of the World’. Enjoy an excellent overview, taking in the most interesting locations of this mythical destination, complete with its easily recognised and colossal ‘moai’ statues. Depending on your departure date and flight schedules, the itinerary and price of this extension may vary.
